new EPS-24G2X EPS-24G2X Managed 26-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch with 2 10G SFP+ Ports The EPS-24G2X is a managed Layer 2+ Ethernet switch based on Diamond’s EPSM-10GX switch module. The switch implements all features of the EPSM-10GX, including 24 10/100/1000Mbps copper ports and 2 10Gbps SFI ports accessed via SFP+ sockets. The EPS-24G2X is designed in the industry-standard «3.5 inch» form factor. The standard cooling method is via a low-profile heat sink. The standard Layer 2+ software embedded in the module provides a comprehensive set of Ethernet switch features suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. All features are manageable via a GUI web interface accessible over any port, as well as with a command language accessed via a built-in RS-232 port. A more advanced software package offering Layer 3 routing performance, as well as IEEE1588 PTP protocol and 1PPS I/O signals, is available upon request. These features are fully supported in the EPSM-10GX hardware and EPS-24G2X product. EPS-24G2X is designed to meet the challenges of vehicle environments with its −40/+85°C operating temperature range and its MIL-STD-202G shock/vibration resistance. Latching connectors are used for all I/O for superior resistance to shock and vibration over the traditional low-cost RJ-45 style connectors. The 50% thicker PCB also aids in resistance to vibration. A wide-range input power supply with built-in transient protection provides compatibility with a range of industrial and vehicle power supplies. new EPSM-10GX EPSM-10GX Ultra-Compact Managed 26-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch Module The EPSM-10GX is a managed Layer 2+ Ethernet switch module in an ultra-compact 2.2″ x 3.3″ (55×84mm) size offering 24 10/100/1000Mbps copper ports + 2 10Gbps SFI ports. The module is intended to be used on a carrier board. The core Ethernet switching technology is almost fully encapsulated on the module; for many applications, only the «last inch» of magnetics and I/O connectors is required to complete the circuit, enabling easy development of custom form factor Ethernet switch solutions. The small size, based on the industry-standard COM Express Mini form factor, makes EPSM-10GX a perfect choice for use as a building block for creating custom Ethernet switch solutions in a variety of space-demanding applications, such as drones, ground and underwater vehicles, and robots. EPSM-10GX can also be mounted on a carrier board to create quick Ethernet switching solutions in other industry standard form factors such as VPX. Customers looking for a complete off-the-shelf solution may be interested in Diamond's EPS-24G2X, which provides all of the switch’s features in the industry standard 3.5 inch form factor. EMM-DIO4M-XT EMM-DIO4M-XT PC/104 4-Port RS-232/422/485 Serial I/O Module with DIO High Performance Serial I/O Functionality The Emerald-MM-DIO4M-XT is a PC/104 form factor serial module offering 4 programmable serial ports. The module is based on a ST16C554 quad UART with 16-byte TX/RX FIFOs. Programmable features include serial port protocols, line termination, slew rates, enable / shutdown, base addresses, and interrupt status register address. Epsilon-24000 Epsilon-24000 Managed 26-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch with wide voltage input and serial management port Epsilon-24000 is a managed Layer 2+ Ethernet switch module offering up to 24 10/100/1000Mbps copper twisted pair ports and 2 small form factor pluggable (SFP) sockets in the compact PC/104 form factor. Epsilon-24000 is designed for rugged applications including industrial, on-vehicle and military. Epsilon-24000 is a standalone switch that does not require any host computer interface. All switch functions are managed by a microprocessor embedded directly into the switch. The processor is accessed via an in-band web interface over one of the Ethernet ports or via an out-of-band command-line interface over an RS-232 serial port. Emerald-MM-8P Emerald-MM-8P 8-Channel, Software Programmable PC/104 Serial Port Module Emerald-MM-8P offers 8 multi-protocol serial ports on a single PC/104 module with complete software configurability. Each port can be individually selected for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 under software control. Both local-echo and non-local-echo modes are supported for RS-485. I/O addresses and interrupt levels are also programmable, with interrupt sharing available for any number of ports. Each port may further be enabled or disabled in software. All configuration data is stored in an on-board EEPROM that is loaded automatically on power-up. For applications where fixed addresses are desired, four groups of preset addresses are available with jumper settings that override the programmed settings. Line termination for RS-422/485 modes is also jumper-selectable. Emerald-MM-8P offers 8 convenient digital I/O lines. The direction of each line is independently programmable. Two I/O headers are provided, with four serial ports and four digital I/O lines on each header. The board operates on +5V only, eliminating the need for a +12V supply that is often required for serial port operation. Emerald-MM-8P is based on the 16C654 quad serial port IC. This device contains 4 identical sets of registers, one for each port, and is compatible with the standard PC serial port. Each port contains 64-byte transmit and receive FIFOs to support the high-speed 460.8kbps data rates. Model EMM-8P-XT is backward compatible with Diamond Systems EMM-8M-XT and EMM-8232-XT boards. Emerald-MM-4M Emerald-MM-4M 4-Port RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 PC/104 Module Our Emerald-MM PC/104 module gives you 4 serial ports operating at speeds up to 115kbps. In RS-232 mode, the full complement of standard PC serial port signals (8 signals + ground) are provided for each port and are grouped onto two 20-pin headers (2 ports per header). In RS-422 mode, Signals RX+, RX-, TX+, and TX- are provided, along with ground. In RS-485 mode, signals TX+/RX+ and TX-/RX- are provided, along with ground. A 16C554 quad serial port IC is used for the serial ports. This chip supports data transfer rates up to 115kbps and contains a 16-byte programmable FIFO buffer for each port to minimize processor overhead. Emerald-MM offers more interrupt level and I/O address options than other quad serial port modules. Therefore, integrating the board into your computer system is a simpler task. Eight different I/O address combinations and 10 different interrupt levels are available. Emerald-MM-Opto Emerald-MM-Opto 2 or 4-Port RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 PC/104 Module Emerald-MM-Opto provides an integrated, rugged, and reliable solution for PC/104-expandable embedded systems requiring serial communications in demanding applications. It offers 2 or 4 optically isolated serial ports with RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 protocols, as well as 24 digital I/O lines, all on a single board. Optical isolation of 1000V DC or AC protects your embedded system from ground differentials or noise spikes that would damage non-isolated boards. Each port is isolated from the other ports as well as the system. Extended temperature capability (-40 to +85ºC) enables the board to operate in vehicles such as trains and buses without concern for temperature swings. Eight different I/O address combinations are built in. The 16C2850 UART chips with 128-byte FIFOs support high-speed data rates at up to 460kbps without overloading the system processor. Auto-flow control enables easy RS-485 operation by automatically enabling and disabling the transmitter during data transmission, to prevent bus conflicts or excessive software overhead. Emerald-MM-Opto also offers multiple termination methods on the serial ports to support varying interface requirements. In RS-422 or RS-485 networks, termination resistors are normally installed at the endpoints of the cables to minimize reflections on the lines. The board provides jumper-selectable termination and pull-up/pull-down resistors for this purpose. The sensible jumper positioning and layout help simplify board configuration and minimize confusion. The 24 digital I/O lines are based on an 82C55 chip and feature programmable direction in 4- and 8-bit groups. All I/O lines contain user-configurable 10K Ohm pull-up resistors for convenience. This 2-in-1 combination of serial ports and digital I/O can help lower the size and cost of your embedded system by eliminating one additional board from your PC/104 stack. Diamond Systems offers appropriate mating cables for your convenience. Cable no. C-DB9M-1 provides a DB-9 male connector with standard PC serial port pinout. Each serial port requires one cable. Cable no. C-26-18 is a 26-conductor ribbon cable for the digital I/O lines. Janus-MM Janus-MM Dual CAN Ports, Carrier for Wireless and GPS Modules JANUS-MM combines dual CAN interfaces with sockets for wireless communications and GPS to create a complete I/O subsystem for automotive and vehicle tracking applications. The dual CAN ports use the Philips SJA1000T CAN controller and 82C251 transceiver, for full CAN2.0B functionality.
