Supercapacitor backup power source for embedded systems
The CBP Modules are a series of no-battery OEM backup modules that use super capacitors rather than conventional batteries. The advantage is that they charge very quickly and that they are able to be recharged 500,000 times. This is beneficial for applications that that have either a large number of battery discharge cycles or where a "maintenance free" solution is required such as remote terminals or mobile data collectors.
The CBP Modules products come in capacities of 23.33, 58.33, 250, and 500 Farads and can supply back-up power to a twenty Watt load for 1.71min through 44.47minutes respectively.

Our new Jupiter-MM-SIO PC/104 DC/DC power supply improves on our popular Jupiter-MM product by adding two configurable serial ports. This board combines our JMM-512-V512 and 1/2 of our Emerald-MM-4M on a single board. This 2-in-1 design helps to further reduce cost and size of PC/104 embedded systems and provides a real benefit for air and ground vehicle applications requiring the greatest reduction in size and weight.

Poseidon
EPIC SBC
Diamond Systems Poseidon is a high performance EPIC form factor single board computer combining state of the art CPU and peripheral technology with Diamond Systems renown high accuracy data acquisition circuitry on a single board. Poseidon utilizes the VIA C7® and VIA Eden® ULV based on the C5J “Esther” core, operating at speeds up to 2.0GHz. The 1.0GHz VIA Eden ULV version of Poseidon operates fanless over the extended operating temperature range of -10°C to +85°C. The 2.0GHz VIA C7 version of Poseidon operates with a fan from -10°C to +65°C.
Poseidon incorporates VIA’s advanced CX700 single chip digital media chipset, providing advanced features such as a 400MHz Front Side Bus (FSB), four USB 2.0 ports, S-ATA hard drive interface and advanced VIA UniChrome™ Pro 2D / 3D graphics with AGP 8x level performance and integral MPEG-2 hardware acceleration. The dual graphics display engines on Poseidon support Dual Independent Display functionality with simultaneous CRT and LVDS flat panel displays (up to dual channel 24-bit) which can display different images with different pixelization and different resolutions.
Like other Diamond Systems SBCs, Poseidon features soldered DRAM for increased resistance to shock and vibration. Poseidon provides either 512MB of DDR2 DRAM operating at 533MHz.
Poseidon also provides an Intel 82541 Gigabit Ethernet controller, four RS-232 serial ports (two have RS422/485 multiprotocol capability) and legacy keyboard / mouse and IDE hard drive interfaces.
Hercules II
EBX format CPU
Hercules II EBX is a high performance, RoHS compliant successor to the popular Hercules EBX first introduced in 2001. The original Hercules EBX board introduced a new level of integration in EBX format CPU boards. Combining processor, data acquisition, and power supply onto one board resulted in a thinner, lighter, more rugged, and easier to assemble embedded system. The 3-in-1 design addressed the needs of mobile and vehicle applications by offering the benefits of reduced size, weight, cost, and power consumption. The new Hercules II board further increases the integration level by utilizing the VIA Mark CoreFusion processor which combines a high performance Nehemiah core CPU with Northbridge technology on a single chip. Featuring Pentium III class performance with dramatically reduced power consumption, the 800MHz board consumes only 12 watts max and requires only a small heat sink with no fan to operate at temperatures up to 85°C. This is less power than the original Hercules board consumed at 550MHz. The increased integration enables Hercules II to offer advanced features such as the four built in USB 2.0 ports in addition to the four USB 1.1 ports provided on the original Hercules.
The advanced data acquisition circuit features autocalibration and fully jumper-less configuration for maximum accuracy and reliable performance. The built-in DC/DC power supply enables Hercules II to be used in a wide range of applications without requiring a separate add-on supply.
